Distinguishing Anxiety Attack and Heart Attack

Throbbing heartbeat is one of the major symptoms of anxiety attack. Anxiety attack can also come with a chest pain, but the pain is usually localized. Even though anxiety attack can come with nausea, there is usually no vomiting. Anxiety attack, especially with intense discomfort, can cause paranoid suspicion that you are having a heart attack. During an anxiety attack adrenaline is released into the blood stream causing rapid heartbeat and expansion of the blood vessels. Such attacks usually peak within 10 minutes and normally do not last more than 30 minutes.
