Distinguishing Anxiety Attack and Heart Attack

Anxiety attacks can be spontaneous (the sufferer can be relaxed or asleep), triggered by stress, or by other anxiety based disorders. Examples that may trigger an anxiety attack are getting stuck in an elevator, fear of public speaking or going on a first date.

What to do:
For first aid of heart attack, chew and swallow an aspirin, or doctor prescribed nitroglycerin. Perform CPR if patient is unconscious. If you suspect you’re having a heart attack, don’t hesitate. Immediately call 911 or your local emergency number.

Anxiety attack though usually not fatal, the rapid heartbeat (tachycardia) can increase the risk of stroke,
